Position Available: Animal Keeper

• We are looking for reliable, responsible, and energetic people, who want to have a blast, taking care of amazing animals.
  • Part Time: 20-30 hours per week; mainly Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays
    (we can be somewhat flexible with the schedule)
  • Starting pay is $11 per hour

• Duties Shall Include:
  • Handling non-venomous reptiles, amphibians, and potentially venomous invertebrates
  • Cleaning animal enclosures
  • Designing animal enclosures
  • Preparing animal food and feeding the animals
  • Record keeping
  • General cleaning of animal and office areas

• Duties May Include:
  • Light office work
  • Animal Rescue Assistance
  • Assisting wildlife educators with outreach educational live animal exhibits at special events in the Mid-Atlantic Region

• Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be highly responsible and able to work without supervision caring for a diverse collection that includes potentially dangerous animals.
  • Experience with and knowledge about reptile husbandry is preferred
  • A healthy back and the ability to lift heavy objects (and live animals) is a MUST.
