EGGS

Birds lay eggs, and so do most reptiles! The eggs of reptiles are not hard like birds eggs, they are leathery.pythoneggs

Experiment

You will need

a jar with a lid
chicken egg
vinegar

Place a whole chicken egg (shell and all) in a jar. Fill the jar with vinegar until it covers the egg. Put the lid on the jar and place it in the fridge.

Check your egg every day by poking it with your finger. Eventually your egg will become rubbery, much like a reptile egg!

What are these pythons doing?

The brown, normal colored, python has laid eggs. She is coiled around them and twitching her body to keep them warm.

Rub your hands together real fast. You are making your hands warm with friction. The yellow snake in the video is albino.

Can you think of what kind of pythons these are? That's right! They are Burmese Pythons.

This video was taken at a zoo I visited. They had many noisy animals to see in addition to reptiles. I bet you can hear animal sounds in the background.
