Reproduction: 3-8 eggs in July, hatching in September

Conservation: These harmless snakes mimic the coloration and pattern of the venomous coral snake, its bright colors warn animals to leave them alone. Milk snakes belong to the genus Lampropeltis along with kingsnakes.  These snakes are immune to venomous snakes in their area and they eat other snakes!
