Cope's Gray Tree Frog

RA Diet: Mealworms, crickets, and earthworms.

Range: East United States and Southern Canada. Local to Fairfax, VA.

Habitat: Trees and plants near water.

Natural Diet: insects

Size: 1.25-2 inches, record is 2 and 3/8 inches.

Lifespan: 5 + years.

Reproduction: Breed March - October

There is a green phase of this frog and should not be confused with the green tree frog which does not live in Fairfax county. These frogs have remarkable camouflage. They live high in trees and descent usually only to breed.

Song is a flute like trill.
