Sunshine was kept improperly as a pet and was rescued after the owner got bored of taking care of her. She had a horrible infestation of mites, a bacterial infection, and a respiratory infection when rescued.  These snakes need enormous custom enclosures.  Most pet burmese pythons are not kept at a proper temperature and humidity and slowly succumb to illness.
